Fruits of the Selfless Heart

Such simple words, so profound and universal a meaning: The Fruits of the Selfless Heart, based on a poem by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

The fruit of silence is prayer.
The fruit of prayer is faith.
The fruit of faith is love.
The fruit of love is service.
The fruit of service is peace.

These words are set to music in Elizabeth Atkinson’s well-known SSAA composition, which includes the Latin rite’s invocation of Dona nobis pacem, performed here by participants in a summer fine arts camp choir.  Enjoy.
