When we come to the end

of all the light we know,

And have to take that first step

into the darkness of the unknown,

It is necessary for us to believe

that one of these two things will happen:

Either we will find a firm place to stand,

or God will teach us how to fly.

Pamela Greer Bowers Sands, age 57, of Lawrenceville, Ga., died May 17, 2003. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Bowers, Dunwoody, Ga.; sons, Christopher Sands and partner, Peggy Kretz, Snellville, Ga.; Sean Sands and partner, Shawn Steffy, Washington, D.C.; son and daughter-in-law, John Mark and Cindy Stroud, Ashville, N.C.; 2 granddaughters; sisters, Carol Green and her husband Buddy, Lawrenceville, Ga.; Beth Dobbin and her husband Bob, Lawrenceville, Ga.; 2 nephews and one niece. Per Pam's request, no services will be held after her cremation. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to your favorite charity. Pam donated her eyes to the Georgia Eye Bank.
