Meet Pat Loveless, a disabled activist in Takoma Park, Md., who is doing what he can to make the world a better place. I wrote this story after interviewing Pat a couple of times and spending some time at his apartment earlier this week.

I’m not sure a lot of people really understand Pat because he is, quite honestly, a unique guy. Very opinionated — the kind of guy who will speak his mind and then some. And then some more. And then a little more. And when you think he’s done, well, you get the picture.

But put in Pat’s situation, I could only hope to be half the man he is.
